Democratic challenger Paul San Miguel defeated incumbent Kirby Brumby 146-73 in the precinct for the Goliad County Sheriff position.
The precinct voted strongly Democratic. Barack Obama (D) defeated Mitt Romney (R) 136-81 in the presidential race, Paul Sadler (D) beat Ted Cruz (R) 111-66 in the Texas U.S. Senate race, and Filemon Vela (D) defeated Jessica Puente-Bradshaw (R) 118-68 in the District 34 U.S. Congressional race.
