As with everyone, I’m sure, your Karnes City Chamber of Commerce and its members are glad that by the time you read this, the elections will have been decided and we can get back to normal. No matter the outcome, we can now look forward to seeing how our government and its agencies can focus on doing their jobs they were elected to do.

Also, again your chamber has been busy trying to keep up with the things going on in our area. As reported last week there are several projects going on this month and we sincerely hope that if interested in knowing more about them, you will give us a call or stop by. As far as the Platinum Wealth Meeting scheduled for Nov. 13 in Jourdanton in Atascosa County, you are asked to call and let them know if you are planning to attend. You also can call us at the chamber, 830-780-3112, for their number. Also, the grand opening here in Karnes City on Panna Maria Street in what used to be Bob Dietz’ Courthouse Barbershop on Nov. 15 and now belongs to Maxout Savings Advisors invites you to attend and get to know them while celebrating their opening.

Last of all, the chamber wants to invite you to purchase your Christmas Poinsettias grown and provided by Cooper’s Garden that can be picked up at our December 1 Christmas in the Park. Remember, that will be a great way to start your Christmas celebrations and enjoy it with your fellow citizens and local businesses.

Hope to see you there, so ‘til next time, Cathy.
