Mike worked for United Gas Pipeline for 34 years his retirement in 1981. He was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Bertha Rodriguez Jaure of Beeville; two sons, Paul (Sarah) Jaure of Beeville and Jaime (Adela) Jaure of Beeville; three daughters, Estella (Armando) Lopez of Kenedy, Irma (Raymond) Rivas of Taft and Cindy (James) Guerrero of Helena, Texas; two nieces: Elsie (Joe Henry) Alaniz of Beeville, Ellie (Nick) Reyna of Houston; and one nephew, Juan (Dora) Camacho of Beeville; eleven grandchildren: Paul Jaure, Jana Jaure Kennelly, Noel Lopez, Hector Lopez, Teri Lopez, Roland Jaure, Omar Jaure, Lupita Jaure, Jenna Guerrero, James Guerrero and Jacylyn Guerrero; 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his one sister, Tomasita Jaure Zuniga; one half-sister, Trinidad Jaure Aguirre; and one grandson, Jeffery Abraham Jaure.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 12, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. till 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be held that evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Treviño Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Rev. Luke officiating. Burial followed at the Pettus Cemetery in Pettus, Texas.
Pallbearers were Juan Camacho, Jody Alaniz, Edward Guerrero, Roland Jaure,Hector Lopez, James Guerrero II, Paul Jaure and Omar Jaure.
Honorary pallbearers: Sabrina Camacho, Noel Lopez, Raymond Rivas, Cruz Alaniz, Mike Rosales, former co-workers: Larry Sellers, Don Hessong, LB Proffitt, Hollie Ragle, Willie Rodriguez, Lupe Rodriguez Jr.
