GOLIAD COUNTY - Goliad County Sheriff's Office officials and Texas Department of Public Safety officials were involved in a chase of suspected illegal immigrants Friday morning on Farm-to-Market Road 1726.

According to DPS Trooper Oscar Garcia, approximately 20 people fled a Chevrolet Avalanche truck after it was pulled over by Garcia for speeding.

Garcia said Friday afternoon that three of the people had been apprehended. GCSO and DPS officers used all-terrain vehicles in the search for the others.

Garcia advised residents in the area to notify the GCSO if they see any suspicious activity.
