St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, the Women of Faith Lutheran, First United Methodist and First Presbyterian Church of Beeville are co-sponsoring the Lenten Luncheon series which will be held at St. Philip’s.

The series will consist of four lectures, one each Tuesday, from March 10 through 31. Lunch will be served from 11:30 to noon, followed by the program beginning by 12:05 p.m. and concluding by 1 p.m.

Those interested in attending the luncheons should make reservations by Friday afternoon, with the exception of season reservation holders. Tickets are $7 for each luncheon, or $25 for the series. Call the church office for reservations, 358-2730.

Tom Dolezal will be the speaker at the March 24 session. He will present “A Walk to Siloam” (homeless ministry).

The Walk to Siloam is a three-day retreat similar to the Walk to Emmaus, Cursillo and other movements. It is unique in the fact that those attending are homeless men mainly from the Corpus Christi area. The Walk to Siloam focuses on teaching these men how to live a Christian life within the homeless community, while spiritually nurturing them toward a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

The final luncheon will be held on March 31, with Gloria Delaplain speaking on Christian Palestinians.

This series is an ecumenical outreach, not a fund-raiser, and was founded in 1970. The public is invited to attend.
