The Karnes City Craft Club met Thursday, Nov. 8, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Karnes City. The meeting was called to order by President Shirley Frazier at 2:00 p.m. The Lord's Prayer and Pledge were recited by the members.

The roll call was called and 14 members were present. The minutes of the previous October meeting were read and accepted. The Treasurer's report was read by Myra Patton and recorded. There were two birthdays in November: Pat Hemby and Melba Wolff. The group sang the Happy Birthday song for them.

New Business:

The nominating committee to select officers for the year 2013 was Treva Fossler and Patsy Whitehead. They presented the following slate: President - Shirley Frazier, Vice President - Diane Maitland, Secretary - Orlis Jonas, and treasurer - Myra Paton. The nominees were voted in by acclamation. They will be installed during the December meeting.

It was noted that Victoria Thonhoff has a new address and phone number which members wanted so they could keep in touch with her. Maxie McNally reminded members of the Pink Ladies tamale sale that was held November 16.

Old Business:

The December luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Dec. 13. Diane will bring the tree which we will decorate with money. This donation is then given to the Karnes County Christian Thrift Store. It was also agreed to have each member bring a $7.00 ornament for a gift exchange. Officers will furnish the drinks and desserts and other members will bring a side dish. Diane Maitland will furnish the baked ham.

The hostess gift was won by JoAnn Kroll and the door prize by Shirley Frazier. They each received three long stem glass votive tea light candle holders.

The meeting was adjourned and members began the craft for the month taught by Patsy Whitehead. The craft was using a clear Christmas tree ball and placing a picture of someone inside. This is a wonderful way to display all of your grandchildren on the tree.

The hostesses were Patty Bedford, Patsy Whitehead, Vi Wehman, and Beverly Henke.

Members present were Shirley Frazier, Patsy Whitehead, Pat Hemby, Maxie McNally, Patty Bedford, Vi Wehman, Diane Maitland, Myra Patton, Orlis Jonas, Melba Wolff, Beverly Henke, Jo Ann Kroll, Charlene Looney, and Treva Fossler..

All members are encouraged to attend the Christmas luncheon on Dec. 13.
