Police anticipate the arrests in the near future of two men who fled the scene of an accident near the Kenedy Walmart on Thursday, Nov. 29.

According to information from DPS Trooper Oscar Garcia, a passenger sedan traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 181, veered off the road to the right for unknown reasons and went airborne for about 20 feet, spun around facing the northbound direction.

Two men fled the scene shortly after the crash.

Misdemeaner amounts of synthetic marijuana were found at the scene of the accident, Garcia said.

“We believe their arrests are forthcoming,” Garcia said.

The Kenedy Police Department, Karnes County Sheriff’s Office and a DPS helicopter assisted in the search for the two men, who police say are between the ages of 20 and 30 years old.
