GOLIAD COUNTY – Four people were transported to a Victoria hospital Friday morning after their vehicle lost control off U.S. Highway 59 at the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 1351 approximately five miles southwest of Goliad.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Oscar Garcia, the driver of the vehicle, a Corpus Christi man, fell asleep and swerved off the eastbound lane and through a barbed-wire fence before the vehicle rolled several times and came to halt upside down. The wreck occurred at around 7:20 a.m.

All four occupants of the vehicle were transported to DeTar Hospital in Victoria.
