Mike was the best example of how teaching should be done. He knew his stuff, he knew how to teach it and he was good in everything he did including how to make his welding teacher friends laugh. He loved his life and he loved living it. He was definitely a rare but genuine article. We will definitely miss him.
To my friend Mike, you will be truly missed. As a great teacher, you passed on your knowledge of welding to your students. But as I saw you stand there and visit with you at Kansas City during a Skills National Welding contest, you were so concerned about making sure that you had prepared them for this event. Yes you had, you did everything right to get them there. Your love, character, kindness, and respect is truly instilled in your students. Our state welding contest will not be the same without you. From the Top of Texas, our prayers go across this Great State to Beeville! Welders For Life. Ernest C.
Mike was one of a kind!I had the pleasure of working for him and he kept us laughing the whole time. Mike loved his wife, kids, his ranch and working with his students. I'm so lucky to have enjoyed time around him. He had a saying when we did something he liked out at his ranch that I will never forget he say "Thats the way we do it here on the Mylner". Mike thanks for letting me call you a friend RIP. Buddy
