Brett Davis was named Most Valuable Player; Logan Myers and Tevin Nash were awarded All-Tournament honors.
The Bobcats took on Ingleside for their first game on Friday. The Cats hung on to a late lead to beat the Mustangs 66-63.
Scoring for the Cats were Logan Myers with 26 points; Tevin Nash, 17; Brett Davis, 11; Anfernee Friar, 4; Tyler Castellano, 4; JB Brown, 2; James Durst, 2; Travis Quintanilla, 1.
The Bobcats continued to roll with a 63-45 victory over when they faced the Odem Owls in the second game of the night.
Scorers include Myers with 19 points; Davis, 13; Nash, 10; Quintanilla, 8; Castellano, 6; Brown, 3; Friar, 2; and Durst, 2.
Two more wins were necessary on Saturday, to take the championship outright.
“In the first half, the Bobcats overcame sluggish and beat Odem JV 76-32,” said coach Eli Boxell.
Scoring for the Cats were Davis and Friar with 17 points each; Myers, 12; Quintanilla, 7; Durst, 7; Nash and Castellano, 6 points each; Brown, 2; and Jacob Solis, 2.
In the final game of the round robin tournament, the Bobcats would finish a perfect 4-0, defeating London 70-25. The scorers were Nash, 19; Davis, 17; Durst, 8; Friar, 7; Myers, 6; Brown, 4; Solis, 4; Quintanilla, 3; and Castellano, 2.
The Bobcats have improved to 5-2 for the year and will pick back up with district play on January 4th as they travel to Goliad.
