With all the events going on in our community, it’s easy to forget things that are coming up.

We don’t want to forget the fight against cancer. Relay for Life will be held on April 24.

There are several teams having fund raisers in the community.This year, First State Bank has a team called Team Hope. As part of our team’s efforts, we will have a Tree of Hope.

This tree represents all of our family and friends who have had cancer. We have small picture frame ornaments that will hang on the tree. If anyone would like to have a picture placed on our tree, please feel free to contact one of our team members or Tammy Martinez.

We will have the Tree of Hope in the lobby of the bank so you can come by and see it, and reflect on what it represents.

On April 10th, we will be having a bake sale and two gift baskets will be raffled that day.

We are asking for donations for a chance to win one of the baskets. The baskets are on display in the bank lobby. We would like to thank the community for all they do to help all of us fight back against cancer. If anyone is interested in learning more about Relay for Life, please let one of our team members know.
