“Contents of the IEP” will be presented from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. The workshop is designed to provide parents with practical working knowledge of the contents of an IEP as defined by IDEA. Participants will learn to set reasonable and measurable learning goals for a child with a disability.

“Assertiveness” will be presented from 10:45 a.m. to noon. This workshop is designed to teach parents to communicate opinions, thoughts, needs and feelings in a direct, honest, and appropriate manner, in order to secure a free appropriate public education for their children.

Guests can attend one or both sessions. Call or email to reserve a seat for the workshops.

Following the workshops, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the STARS Clinic located at 117 Medical Dr., Suite 4, in Victoria, individual support service will be available for parents to discuss specific questions or concerns about their child’s special education services. ARD or IFSP paperwork required. Call or email for an appointment time.
