NWS issues red flag warning for Goliad County

A red flag warning will be in effect for Goliad County from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The National Weather Service forecasts a cold front to move through the area early Wednesday morning. Winds are expected to gust upward to 30 mph.

Other counties under the warning are Victoria, Aransas, Refugio and Calhoun.

Humidity is expected to drop Wednesday to 10 to 15 percent.

High fire danger is expected. Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.

Goliad County is not under a burn ban.

Residents are urged not to burn trash or be involved in any other open-flame burning Wednesday.
