It’s getting closer! Yes, your Karnes City Community Chamber of Commerce is still working to bring to you “Bright Lights, Big City!” for your enjoyment Saturday, March 2, at the Panna Maria Hall. We now can look forward to hearing and dancing to music by Cool Freddie & Friends. Cool Freddie & Friends played at the Miss Karnes County Pageant and there were many anchors. He plays oldies, Country Western, polkas, waltzes, and all kinds of music to enjoy.

The door will be open at 6 p.m. and close at 11 p.m. We’ll also have food, drinks, and wonderful homemade desserts, as well as both a live auction and our usual silent auction. If you would like to help by donating any of those items, we’ll truly appreciate your help. Also, the tradition of naming our Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, and Organization of the Year will happen again. That is still our way of honoring those who have done their best to make our community all that it can be.

And, not only to honor those who have contributed so much, but also to be able to meet and greet many of our newcomers, who continue to become a part of our community, is important. The evening should be a fantastic, fun-filled time for all of us. Tickets are on sale at the Chamber Office and by the Board Members for $25 per person. Stop by the Chamber Office during the hours of 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

‘Til next time, Cathy Passmore
