Lady Trojan Niki Longoria gains control of the ball during Friday night’s match with the visiting Pleasanton Eaglettes. The match ended in a 0-0 tie. The Lady Trojans played host to the McCollum Cowgirls on Tuesday evening.
The Lady Trojans have not scored a goal in their last seven matches.
The defensive effort was superb as Taylor Castillo, Celeste Contreras, Sydney Wesson, Heather McKinney, keeper Randi Maupin, Claire McKinney and a host of midfielders kept the Eaglettes away from the Beeville goal.
Head coach Don Ledesma also got good minutes from freshman MacKenzie Harvey, who played with aggression and fire at midfield.
The Lady Trojans played at home on Tuesday night against the McCollum Cowgirls. On Friday, the Beeville girls will be in San Antonio to test the Southside Lady Cardinals.
