Several students have been shot and lay dying in the hallways. Many other students and faculty remain in danger as the gunmen go room-to-room throughout the campus, firing randomly at whoever crosses their paths.
Reports to 9-1-1 from faculty inside the school are sketchy. Descriptions of the two gunmen, who are apparently students, are inconsistent.
That was the scenario presented Goliad County Sheriff’s Office deputies during Saturday’s training exercise at GMS. GCSO Captain Tom Copeland coordinated the day-long simulated drills that included four volunteer students from Victoria’s East and West high schools, who played the roles of the gunmen and injured students.
