The Lady Eagles placed third at the Turtle Creek Golf Course in Palacios on Tuesday, Feb. 26. Because many of the teams only had three players, Coach Figirova from Palacios made the decision to use a three-person team score. The day was a little windy and chilly but a much better day for golf than Monday. Brittany Lopez was third medalist with a 111, Jessica Bingenheimer had a 114, and Kristina Foster shot a 144.
“This was the first time Bingenheimer and Foster have played in a golf tournament and they both did very well. Brittany, my returning senior did not disappoint and played a good round of golf bringing home the bronze,” Coach Carolyn Baker said.
The next tournament will be at the Alice Municipal Golf Course in Alice, on Wednesday, March 6.
