He was born April 30, 1932, in Richford, N.Y., to Harold and Marguarite Leonard. He was a retired civil service employee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Wesley Leonard; his first wife, Irma Leonard; and a sister, Vena Steele.
Survivors include his wife, Francisca A. Leonard of Beeville; three daughters, Patricia (Ricardo) Guardiola of Laredo, Melisa Rios and Thalia (L.C.) Jordon, all of Arlington; three sons, Robert F. Leonard of Corpus Christi, Kenneth Leonard of Beeville and Richard A. (Geri) Leonard of Karnes City; two brothers, Harold A. Leonard and Richard Leonard, both of New York; four sisters: Carolyn Aldrich, Beverly Sprouse, Elsie Ferro and Nancy Smith, all of New York; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Family visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, beginning at 9 a.m., at Treviño Funeral Home.
A rosary will be recited at 7 o’clock that evening at Treviño Funeral Home.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery with full military honors.
