Lions wipe out Wildcats

Tuesday the Kenedy Lions hosted the Yorktown Wildcats in some non district baseball action.

The Lions would score 20 runs and give Bryant Tiemann the win on the mound as he pitched 3 innings giving up 2 unearned runs while striking out 3 on 2 hits and 1 walk.

Eddie Villarreal would pitch 2/3 of an inning and Isaac Cruz would come in to pitch 1 and 1/3 striking out all 4 batters he faced.

The Lions would blow it open in the bottom of the third as they scored 10 runs in the inning.

Leading the way for the Lions at the plate was Rolie Zepeda who went 3 for 3.

Eddie Villarreal went 3 for 4 with 2 triples. Jeremy Rodriguez went 2 for 3 with a triple.

Kris Bryan, Nathan De Los Santos, and Bryant Tiemann all went 1 for 2 from the plate.

Dominic Cruz, Isaac Cruz, J.D. De Los Santos all went 1 for 3 on the night.

Jordan Valdez rounded off the hitting parade for the Lions going 1 for 1 on the 15 hit night.
