BEEVILLE – Dust off those glass slippers and prepare the horse-drawn carriage. On Saturday, May 4, “Cinderella,” a production of the prestigious Corpus Christi Ballet dance company, will magically appear on the A.C. Jones High School Auditorium stage.

The one-time performance of the world-famous children’s folk tale, presented by the Coastal Bend College Foundation, will begin at 7 p.m. The Corpus Christi Ballet’s appearance in Beeville graciously has been underwritten by the Joe Barnhart Foundation.

“Cinderella” will be brought to vibrant life through Sergei Prokofiev’s evocative score, beautiful costumes and scenery, and a colorful cast of more than 60 dancers and actors. The stepsisters’ comic antics, some “fairy dust,” a handsome prince and an ill-treated servant girl who finds true love combine in a visually stunning presentation that will charm children and adults alike.

The lead role of Cinderella will be danced by Mia Carvalho, and her prince will be Nathan Reagan. The wicked stepmother will be played by Xavier Barrera.

Tickets will go on sale Monday, March 18, and are priced at $10 each for adults and $7 for children 12 years and under.

For tickets, contact the CBC Foundation at 354-2348 or email foundation@coastalbend.edu. But don’t delay in ordering tickets, or you may discover to your great dismay that the clock has struck midnight.
