Table table decorations carried out the theme of Texas Independence Day, March 2, 1836. Children’s cowboy boots were containers for the bluebonnet flower centerpieces along with yellow daisies. Nyla Irwin and Jane Cecil never fail to have clever decorations each month.
Janet Carter of Beeville shared her photos of Alaska; salmon swim upstream in this particular river. She showed a lady holding a large circular net and explained that local residents netting redfish was legal; whereas tourists were restricted in their catch each day. Alaska is much larger in area than Texas, yet it has only approximately 3,000 miles of highways; whereas Texas has more than 78,000 miles of highways.
