PALACIOS – The Goliad Tigerettes overcame a 5-1 deficit to defeat the Palacios Sharkettes 17-5 in a District 30-2A softball game Monday night.

Michele Campbell was 4-for-5 with a pair of triples and two RBI while also getting the win on the mound and recording four strikeouts. Briana Flores went 3-for-6 and scored five runs, Kelsey Kocian was 3-for-6 with four RBI and Rachel Vaughn went 3-for-5 with three runs scored.

Also leading the Tigerettes offensively were Stormie Lutz (2-for-5, RBI, run scored) and Kara Thomas (1-for-6, two RBI, two runs scored). Goliad, which improved to 3-3 in district play, had 17 hits.

The Tigerettes will host Edna on Friday at 7 p.m.
