The Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats traveled to Bloomington on Tuesday evening and the hometown Bobcats dealt the travelers an 11-1 loss.

The S-T boys scored the first run of the game in the top of the first but could not get anything else against the Bloomington pitching staff. Rudy Hernandez had an RBI single in the first to plate the ‘Cats’ lone run.

The young Bobcats had a few defensive lapses that helped the Bloomington squad score five runs in the third inning. Bloomington added two runs in the bottom of the fourth and then closed it out with four runs in the bottom of the fifth to capture an 11-1 five-inning contest under the ten-run rule.

Zach Petrus opened for the S-T Bobcats on the mound and went two and two-thirds innings to pick up the loss on the mound.

The S-T JV and varsity played Refugio on Friday night in Skidmore and will be in Odem on Tuesday night.
