The Trojan varsity boys soccer team did not have the season success they wanted or worked so hard to get, but the district coaches did recognize several of the Trojans for postseason honors.

Three Trojans were named to the All-District 57-4A first team and three were selected to the second squad of elite players. Seven Trojans were chosen for the district’s honorable mention list.

On the first team were defender Levi Draper, midfielder Cory Fish and keeper Artie Martinez.

The district’s second team had Beeville’s forwards Zach Johnson and Preston Tabb. Backup keeper Matt Ortega played well enough when he gave Martinez a rest to catch the coaches’ eyes and also earned a second team spot.

The Trojans making the honorable mention list include Justin Cano, Roland Salazar, Bobby Rice, Aaron Castilla, Jamie Eide, Cody Hernandez and J.J. De La Garza.
