After reading Pipelines by Putt of Sept. 11, I was surprised at his opinion of Barack Obama. Andy Pate is a very close and treasured friend. We were classmates from the sixth grade through graduation in the class of 1952, Refugio High School.
Andy was salutatorian and attended Rice Institute his freshman year and eventually obtained a Ph.D. degree.
I read his column every week, but we have never talked politics.
When Putt finishes shooting a few baskets, please discuss with Obama his moral stand on Right to Life. John McCain and Sarah Palin are proud defenders of life. Then quiz him about attending Jeremiah Wright’s Church for 20 years without seeing the Light!
If you listen to Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Howard Dean, and the rest of the Democrat “leaders”, Republicans are a bunch of war-happy, corporate-cuddling, planet-polluting monsters — and frankly, I’m sick of their outlandish accusations!
I hope you’re just as outraged by their vicious and personal attacks. Because they’re talking about you, too!

The reason they made so much money from that Babs benefit is because those happen to be the ones that can afford it. Have you forgotten that Obama has COMPLETELY funded his campaign from public donations, yeah, that means no PAC money, no lobbyist or special interest donations(*coughs*bribes). Has anything in the last 8 years been beneficial to our nation?!!? NO WAY! If you want to keep the corupt policies and the "good ol boys" in there scratching the backs of lobbyists then vote for McSame and A-Pallin!!
