The design of the new store, located at 107 N. Sunset Strip, was unveiled during the ceremony. It features bright red and white colors and a tall pitched roof.
The store is 45,000-square-feet – nearly three times the size of the existing store in Kenedy. It will offer larger selections and departments, according to information from H-E-B.
“The new Kenedy store will offer the same quality, freshness and service customers expect from H-E-B,” a news release sent last week stated. “More than 5,000 new items will be included throughout the expanded departments including grocery, general merchandise, market and frozen. The new store will showcase five new departments; seafood, bakery and deli with meats, cheeses, and our famous rotisserie chicken, a pharmacy with drive through lane, and Texas Front Yard.”
“In addition, H-E-B is offering a convenience store with a car wash and gas station set to open in mid July. This expansion will bring an additional 80 plus job opportunities for the Kenedy community.”
“H-E-B has an 80-year history in Kenedy and his new store represents our continued commitment to serving the growing Kenedy community while maintaining our commitment to offer customers quality products, lower prices and great customer service,” said Regina Garcia, H-E-B public affairs manager.
