Three employees with the Texas Department of Transportation joined members of the Beeville Police Department Wednesday afternoon to pass out candy with wrappers reminding teenage drivers to keep their seat belts buckled. The team handed out the reminders to drivers leaving the parking lot at A.C. Jones High School. Those pictured are, from left, Assistant Police Chief Richard Cantu, Lynda Walker, Hazel Zepeda and Joe Hernandez of TxDOT, Detective Greg Baron and Police Chief Joe Treviño. The chief said the effort was part of TxDOT’s Teenage Click It or Ticket campaign.
