Junior Service League is starting its fund-raising for Relay for Life with its familiar flamingo flocking. Members will be flocking the neighborhoods and businesses of Beeville. Homeowners and business owners alike must make a donation of any amount to have the flamingos removed. They are also taking suggestions of places to flock. And, of course, insurance against flamingo flocking can be purchased from them as well. Theresa T. Arthur, president, said, “Last year, we had great success. Most people enjoyed the birds in their yards, and, of course, there were others who quickly paid to get rid of them. We had a good time and look forward to beating our amount raised from last year.” Shown in the photo are: Terri Arthur, president; Belinda Olivares, vice president; Tammy Alaniz, secretary; and Michelle Trevino, treasurer. To purchase insurance against the flock, email Arthur at tdt_arthur@yahoo.com.
