“This year, the Fair’s main goal is to focus on summer reading,” said Anna Garcia, librarian. “There will be many books and other items students can buy and enjoy.”
All week there will be special family and student events scheduled. On Tuesday, Cinco de Mayo, parents who come eat with their child can visit the library, purchase a book, and take a festive picture to commemorate the day.
Wednesday is Whirl Wind of Fiesta. Students who are caught reading will receive a $5 coupon to purchase a book.
On Thursday, students can quench their thirst when making a purchase at the book fair.
Friday is Free Book Day. Community members will come read to the students, and there will be a drawing for a free book every class period.
