Kenedy Lions roar past Eagles

PETTUS – The visiting Kenedy Lions had too much firepower last Tuesday, March 25, capturing a 16-7 victory over the host Eagle varsity baseball squad.

Dylan Dunn went the distance for the Eagles on the mound, giving up 14 hits to the Lions while striking out eight Kenedy hitters. Dunn walked five batters and allowed seven earned runs in the contest.

Dunn was 1-3 at the plate for the Eagles with one run scored and two RBI’s. The hit went for two bases. Zach Gonzales was 2-3 in the loss with one run scored, one walk and one RBI on the night. Anthony Mendoza went 2-3 with one run.

The Eagles played host to the Three Rivers Bulldogs on Tuesday night. On Friday, the Pettus boys will travel to Port Aransas to meet the Marlins.
