Falls City High School girls and boys competed at the district meet on Wednesday, April 2 in Yorktown. The girls had 13 competitors with a majority advancing to the area meet. The Falls City girls were able to take the district title with 158 points, with Three Rivers finishing 2nd with 157 points. The top four finishers advance to the Area Meet which will be held on April 9 in Kenedy. The 2014 area qualifiers are: Haleigh Blocker, Kaelan Cheatham, Alyssa Dziuk, Madison Dziuk, Taylor Dziuk, Hanna Foster, Kelsey Labus, Hannah Lyssy, Jordan Lyssy, Sara Moore and Rebekah Pawelek.

Meet results by event are as follows:

Discus: Kelsey Labus, 2nd 98’.5”

Long Jump: Hanna Foster, 6th, 14’7

Triple Jump: Jordan Lyssy, 4th, 32’1.5

High Jump: Tie 3rd, Hanna Foster & Rebekah Pawelek, 4’6

3200m run: Rebekah Pawelek, 5th

400m relay: Cheatham, H. Lyssy, M. Dziuk, Blocker, 1st, 53.09

800m run: Alyssa Dziuk, 2nd 2:35.68; Taylor Dziuk, 3rd 2:41.12; Sara Moore, 4th 2:48.12

100m Hurdles: Hanna Foster, 3rd, 17.24

100m dash: Hannah Lyssy, 3rd, 13.61
