The Runge Ladies Auxiliary was very pleased with the outcome of the bake sale the organization held on Tuesday, March 25 in downtown Runge. The ladies express gratitude all those who helped to make their endeavor a success: members who donated enough homemade goodies to cover three tables; several ladies who are not members but wanted to help and donated their baked goods; those who stopped by and bought the cakes, cookies, pies, cobblers, and sandwiches that they had for sale; finally, the many generous people who made monetary donations to the Ladies Auxiliary. This is the only fund raiser the auxiliary has held and its success insures that the club will be able to continue contributing to areas that are important to the ladies such as cancer aid and research, Karnes County Relay for Life, veterans and family support, and veterans’ hospitals.

The next Ladies Auxiliary meeting will be held Tuesday, April 22 at 2 p.m. at the VFW in Runge.
