Karnes City ISD bond information meeting set for April 22

KARNES CITY – The Karnes City Independent School District is hosting a meeting to share information about the upcoming bond election in which voters will decide whether or not to move forward with $45 million in school district facility construction and improvements.

Administrators and members of the Facilities Advisory Committee will present information about the proposed project and answer questions from the public at the meeting set for Tuesday, April 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the Karnes City High School Auditorium.

Among the proposed new facility construction and improvements are a new primary school for pre-kindergarten through second grade students, additional junior high classroom space, new high school, cafeteria, gym, auditorium and band hall.

Early voting for this election runs April 28-May 6 at the Karnes County Offices on the Square and Election Day is May 10 at the Karnes City Hall Auditorium.
