Kenedy 4B summer activities begin

The Kenedy 4B summer program has started it’s summer program activities effective June 1.

The high schools strength and condition program is scheduled to run for six weeks beginning June 1.

Cody Ruiz is the instructor and the youths will meet from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., by the Kenedy Football field and weight room on Monday through Thursday.

The strength and condition program is for both boys and girls 9th through 12th grade.

The girls softball team has its first competition on Tuesday, June 2, 2014 as they venture into league play with teams from Victoria.

Girls can still sign up for softball play by contacting coach Rudy Diaz at 830-299-2018.

Summer track participants need to be at the Kenedy track on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Practice will be throughout the month of June from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the afternoon for participants planning to attend the summer track meet at the end of June.

Kenedy 4B will also have a Punt, Pass and Kick seminar on June 21, from 8:30 a.m. till 11:30 a.m. at Lions field and it is open to boys and girls from Kenedy ages 7 to 14, you can sign the injury waiver at the day of the event.

The Volleyball camp for High school and Middle school girls is scheduled for July 28 through Aug. 1 as is the football camp for middle school boys.

More information on these two camps will be provided through the Karnes Countywide at a later date.
