KCHS Band students medal at UIL Competition

Karnes City High School band students (l-r) Marisela Alaniz, Kendra Pacheco, Morgan Kelley, Franco Padron, Abby Quintanilla, and Denay Gonzales earned medals at the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Competition held Monday, May 26 in Pflugerville.  Each young lady earned an Excellent Rating in the UIL Twirling Solo Competition.  Franco earned two Superior Ratings: one for his Snare Drum Solo and a second for his Drum Set Solo.  Mr. George DeRocher and Mr. Nathan Jones lead the band program at KCISD.  Ms. Amy Janysek leads the 2014 Twirling Squad.
