The Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital Auxiliary held its’ monthly business meeting Thursday, June 7, with 13 members present. President Emma Villanueva called the meeting to order at 10 a.m. at Barth’s Restaurant. Minutes of the previous month’s meeting were read and monthly reports were presented by officers as well as standing and appointed committee members.

The Scholarship Committee announced an additional recipient from Falls City, Kendall Kanak. Congratulations and best wishes for future success to all of this year’s recipients.

Discussions of note included some new proposals for fund-raising efforts and reports from the three members who attended the Texas Health Care Volunteers Annual Convention. They found the seminars to be interesting and enjoyed meeting and talking to other volunteers from across the state.

The meeting was followed by a luncheon honoring the OKMH Board Members. The auxiliary was delighted to have them join and appreciate the strong support they have provided over the years.

The next business meeting will be Thursday, July 10. The meeting will be held at 9:30 am in the Hospital Board Room.
