Kenedy school district trustees, administrators, contractor and architect use the “golden shovels” to officially break ground at the site Monday afternoon where a new Kenedy High School will be built. A representative of the architect said that construction crews will begin to pour concrete slabs for new school facilities later this week. Voters approved $16.95M in bond funding for the construction in May of 2013.
