REFUGIO – Travis Quintanilla, a jes-ne-sais-quoi Refugio Bobcat star quarterback from 2011 to 2013, will get to keep his football and baseball scholarships to Texas A&M University A&M-Kingsville.

Quintanilla, who was arrested on a misdemeanor DWI charge May 5, had put his scholarship in jeopardy. He was removed from the Bobcat baseball team at the time.

But Texas A&M-Kingsville President Steven Tallant announced last week that Quinanilla’s scholarship would remain and that the athlete would be welcomed.
