First of all, a huge thank you to Carrie Merson from the San Antonio River Authority. Our scientists-in-training had tons of fun studying those river-critters and learning about keeping rivers healthy. Thanks again for your visit.

We have even more fun in store this week. On Monday, we welcomed some extra-special helpers to give us a hand with our experiments: Miss Karnes County, Taylor Dzuik, and her court, including Runge's own Little Miss and Little Mister Karnes County, Alexah Castro and Pedro Villanueva, Jr.. We did some experiments on air pressure which really got us all excited about Thursday's program.

On Thursday at 1:30, Larry Dement will be here at the library to talk about the science of flying an airplane. Mr. Dement is an accomplished pilot who has flown military aircraft as well as single-engine planes. We'll also be making our own flying objects and seeing which ones fly the best, so we hope to see you there!
