Julius was born in Woodsboro, TX to Julius Charles Ermis, Sr. and Leona Stuchly Ermis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert M. Ermis.
He is survived by his brother Edward J. Ermis of Woodsboro, TX.; his sisters Gloria Martin, Joyce Wolak, and Pam Heine, all of Houston, TX and Anna Wealty of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by 9 nieces and 7 nephews.
J.C. grew up in Woodsboro, TX having graduated from Woodsboro High School in 1975.
He then attended the University of Texas at Austin where he earned a B.A. in the humanities.
He moved to Washington D.C. in 1979 to further his education and was awarded a M.A. in international affairs at The George Washington University in 1982. His long and successful career in the telecommunications industry spanned 32 years, culminating in his position of Marketing and Proposal Manager at Turner Consulting Group where he was known for his professionalism, pride, dedication and good humor.
J.C. was a kind and generous son, brother, uncle and cousin. He was a man with a love of his Czech heritage, travel, art, cooking and hosting dinners for his friends. Although shy, he was known for his droll sense of humor and quiet charm.
Julius will be sorely missed by all who knew and cared about him.
A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer in Houston. Donations in J.C.’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
