A fire at 604 W. Youst St. destroyed a wood frame house about 5:30 p.m. Thursday. While the house appeared not to have anyone inside, it did have numerous personal belongings. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Firefighters used three fire trucks, including their new tanker truck, to get it under control.
