Pettus – Oak Hills Community Church of Floresville kicked off the summer at the South Texas Children’s Home Ministries’ (STCHM) Boothe Campus by providing a fun-filled day for the STCHM kids that took messy games to a whole new level.

Before hitting the pool in the later afternoon, the volunteers started the day by having organized fun in the gym. Following a picnic lunch under the trees, the messy games were underway. They started with chilled water balloons that the kids busted on their heads. Then a sponge filled with water was passed over and under each child as they tried to fill a bucket, each group trying to fill it faster than the other. The water that remained was dumped on unsuspecting volunteers. That was followed by a treasure hunt involving sausage gravy and an obstacle course that had raw eggs and shaving cream... it was a messy day!

The children’s home expressed thanks to Oak Hills Community Church for kicking off their summer and providing the kids with a day filled with laughter, friendship and fellowship.
