Leonor Garza Rodriguez was born in Beeville, Texas on March 22, 1921, and died in San Antonio, Texas on July 3, 2014.

A loving mother and grandmother who has gone to be with the Lord at the age of 93.

She is survived by family members, Leonor (Fred) Camacho, Enrique Rodriguez, Juan Rodriguez, and Steve (Gloria) Rodriguez who offered immeasurable love, care and support until her final days. She was a twin to her sister Leonarda Garza Ruiz, and the third of ten children born to parents Estevan and Francisca Romero Garza.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her husband, Geronimo Rodriguez.

Leonor married Geronimo at the age of eighteen. As a young woman, Leonor’s hobbies included sewing, gardening and painting, which gave her great pleasure. Throughout her life she created many beautiful projects for many family members.

As her family grew, Leonor became a grandmother to twenty-five grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren.

She lovingly and abundantly gave them all her care, blessings and advice. Her life will forever serve as an example and source of strength. She will continue to love, care and guide them from Heaven.

Leonor reached the end of her journey with faith, joy and acceptance. God shone his light upon her. We will never forget her and we will honor her memory by giving, forgiving and doing our best, always.

Visitation was Sunday July 6, 2014 2 p.m.-7 p.m. A Rosary was recited Sunday, July 6, 2014 in Moore Funeral Home Chapel at 7 p.m. The Mass was Monday, July 7, 2014 in St. Therese Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial followed at St. Bernard Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Trey Rodriguez, Leonard Ray Rodriguez, Richard Rodriguez, Jr., Juan Javier Rodriguez, Christopher Camacho, and Casey Camacho.

Honorary Pallbearers were Courtney Camacho, Stefany Lauren Rodriguez and Clarissa Rodriguez Talbert.
