ARLINGTON – Five members of the Goliad Tiger football team performed at the Blue-Grey All-American Southwest Super Combine on June 28 at Maverick Stadium.

Goliad linebacker-running back Joseph Burn ran 4.7-second 40-yard dash at the combine while Tiger wide receiver-defensive back Justin Thomas was clocked at 4.74 and defensive end-running back Ty Ross was timed at 4.77.

Linemen Irwin Franklin and Hunter Rodriguez were also at the combine. Franklin was time in the 40 at 4.87 and Rodriguez was clocked at 5.39.

Thomas had four interceptions and was recognized as a Super Combine and received a medal for being a top performer.

Ross and Thomas have been invited to the FBU Top Gun Showcase Combine in Dublin, Ohio, on July 17-19. Approximately 725 athletes in the country were invited to combine.
