COLLEGE STATION – The Goliad Tigers evened their record to 1-1 in Pool H of Division II at the Texas 7-on-7 Football Championships on Thursday afternoon with a 49-29 victory over the Sonora Broncos.

Goliad earlier lost 34-33 to the China Spring Cougars.

The Tigers will have to win their 5 p.m. contest agains Pilot Point to have a chance to qualify for Friday's championship round.
