The Runge Independence Day Celebration was a huge success! From opening ceremonies to the fireworks finale it was a day to remember. Thanks so much to all the people who came out to support our veterans. We had over 50 vendors to keep you busy, along with games and activities all day long. The parade was great and the fireworks were awesome.
Did you see the two new Runge Fire Trucks in the Parade? We are so excited to have this new equipment to protect and support our community and surrounding area. Now we need to recruit more volunteer firemen and get them trained. We will have a total of three new trucks soon and we want to be ready.
2nd Friday Breakfast was held in Runge this past week at the Solid Rock Christian Church hosted by Pastor Matilda Aguilar. 27 community leaders attended and enjoyed the fellowship and information shared what is happening in Karnes County. Next month 2nd Friday will be held in Karnes City.
Just want to give a special thanks and recognition to our newest shining stars in Runge, Alex and Jason Segura, a.k.a. AJS Texas Music Outlaws. Their performance on the field while waiting for the fireworks was fantastic and residents of Runge who didn’t even go to the park raved about their music and song writing abilities. We will be hearing much more from them in the future. Thanks so much for adding to our program.
We are still working hard in Runge. Excited about all we can do to make an impact in the businesses and lives of those we serve. We are a non-profit 501c3 and any support you can give us will go to the betterment of our community, whether with equipment, leadership training or cleaning up the neighborhoods, we are Runge proud! Until next week, be blessed!
