KENEDY – Kenedy’s newest set of fully furnished corporate apartments celebrated their completion and grand opening with a ribbon cutting celebration on Thursday, July 10.

Kenedy Lofts, located at 322 W. Main Street in Kenedy, opened last week in the space that previously for many years had been in use as the second story of the Stimson Furniture store.

Kenedy resident Walter Chance and his partners remodeled the first floor of the building into office space after purchasing the building in 2012, and in partnership with GordonPartners and Doug George now are pleased to announce the opening of 17 luxury apartments in the heart of downtown Kenedy.

Special guests and representatives of the Kenedy Chamber of Commerce toured the new apartments last week and many expressed compliments to those involved in the effort to bring apartments of such high quality to a market so much in demand of quality housing at this time.

The apartments are all professionally designed and fully furnished with amenities including bed linens, towels and dishware. Flat screen TVs are in all living rooms and bedrooms with DirecTV including premium channels.

There is a common laundry room with three washers and dryers and folding table.

Dedicated parking is part of the package with secure access to the building.

The apartments range in price from $1,000 per month for a 349 square-foot one-bedroom, one-bath studio suite to $2,800 per month for a 888 square-foot two-bedroom, two-bath luxury double.

During the tour of the new apartments, Chance said he is currently negotiating a one-year lease with one company who are interested in leasing all 17 apartments.

According to Chance, he and his partners are considering the possibility of moving forward with another project – another set of offices and apartments in the building space next door – what was once the Rialto Theatre.
