Wanda J. Pullin Black, 74, a resident of Corpus Christi for 45 years and formerly of Nixon, died Sunday, July 20, 2014.

Mrs. Black was born Sept. 7, 1939, in Nixon to Loyal Beasley and Beatrice Floy Baker Pullin. She was a school secretary with Tuloso Midway for 20 years.

Survivors include her husband, Elder Ray Black of Corpus Christi; a son, Britt “Blacky” (Betty Beames) Black of Nixon; a daughter, Brenda (Ricky) Jurach of Sinton; and two grandchildren, Tiffani and Chase Jurach.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyal and Beatrice Pullin; a brother, Vernon Loyal Pullin; and a nephew, Vernon Kevin Pullin.

Family received guests Tuesday, July 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton.

The funeral service was conducted there at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, with Pastor Willis Moore officiating. Burial followed at 2 p.m. in Bundick Cemetery in Smiley.

Pallbearers were Karl Pullin, Keith Pullin Sr., Corey Benoit, Chase Jurach, Tim Teas and Keith Pullin Jr.

Honorary pallbearer was Kevin Pullin.

Arrangements were under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton.
