At the urging of the U.S. Census Bureau, the Three Rivers City Council has established a Complete Count Committee and named Murrell Foster, Executive Director of the Three Rivers Chamber of Commerce, as its chairman.

“It is important that every citizen of Three Rivers be counted in the census because it could influence the amount of government grants and other programs that we might get during the next 10 years,” Foster said.

The purpose of the committee is to encourage every citizen to fill out and return the census questionnaire when it is delivered in mid-March of 2010. The committee is also charged with keeping the local citizens abreast of the various Census operations before the information is nationally circulated.
