He was born in Woodsboro Jan. 15, 1940, to Henry E. and Bernice Henkhaus Schubert.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Joyce Gilkey Schubert of Sugarland; two daughters, Sheila Schubert of Friendswood and Deborah Schubert of Sugarland; two sons, Thomas and wife Winnie Schubert of Tomball, Todd Schubert of Atlanta, GA; four sisters, Delores Gilstrap of Bonnieview, Marilyn Beken of Alvin, Trisha Love of Houston and Cindy Clendennen of Refugio; four brothers, Wayne Schubert of Woodsboro, Patrick Schubert of Refugio, Chester Schubert of Woodsboro and Jerome Schubert of College Station; three grandchildren.
Visitation began at 10 a.m., Friday, May 15, at Moore Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary was recited at 6 p.m., May 15, at Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Woodsboro. Burial was in Old St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bayside.
Pallbearers were Eddie Beken, Greg Beken, Raymond Beken, Deron Beken, Kurt Schubert and Jason Love.
